With an investment of more than $60 million from the federal and provincial governments and our community partners, VIU is embarking on the construction of three major infrastructure projects: a new Health and Science Centre; an expansion of the Marine, Automotive and Trades Complex; and a District Geo-Exchange Energy System. These new and expanded facilities – and the benefits they bring in terms of research, innovation, education and job opportunities – illustrate how VIU is listening to the communities it serves. They also highlight the value of our health and trades programs, which serve our region and support the provincial government's Skills for Jobs Blueprint. All of these new projects are scheduled for completion in 2018.
