Many students struggle to meet the financial demands of a university education, and traditional scholarships distributed at set times of the year and with specific criteria aren’t always enough.
That's where the VIU Access Fund comes in.
It’s designed to help students when they need it most, so they don’t have to put their studies on hold.
The VIU Access Challenge begins now and ends June 5. If you donate during this time, you have the chance to win $100 to Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Resort and Spa!

- Donate to the VIU Access Fund between now and June 5.
- Fill out the online donation form, including the name of the person who encouraged you to donate in the field provided (or leave it blank if that does not apply).
- Once two people name you as their inspiration to donate to VIU Access Fund, your name will be added to a raffle.
- The winner will be announced at the end of the campaign on June 6.
- Available year-round and provides flexible financial assistance of up to $2,000 to individual students based on their specific needs during unforeseen circumstances.

100% of your gift goes directly to the VIU Access Fund, which is designed to support all students who are in financial need, no matter the program of study, course load, or academic achievement.
Financial obstacles should never stand in the way of a student's potential. Unfortunately, traditional scholarships and awards can leave some students behind. The VIU Access Fund is different. It's specifically designed to provide proactive and supplemental support when and where it's needed most.
