NOTICE OF WORK - GeoExchange Project Well Drilling - Update

Vancouver Island University’s GeoExchange Project – Update – May 15, 2017
South Well Site: You may notice that we have equipment back on the South Well Site as of Monday May 15, 2017.  The purpose of the equipment is to “flush” the well to increase the water flow.
Next Step: Once the south well have been flushed, we will start the pump/well testing. The construction fencing and signage will remain in place until all the work has been completed on both wells.
Remember:  both sites remain construction sites, safety first.

Red Williams Drilling/Smith + Anderson
The south well located by the Navy League Building.
Start:   Monday, May 15, 2017
End:   Thursday, May 18, 2017
·         There will be trucks and equipment on site.
The contractor, Red Williams has provided VIU with an extensive Safety Plan.
Both locations will be signed and sectioned off. There will be noise during the drilling process.
Water and slug will be trucked off site and disposed of appropriately through environmental safe procedures.
