Announcement, December 18, 2019
Effective Wednesday, December 18, 2019, all employees and students must use their VIU photo ID card to gain access into building 305's Library Commons outside of the library’s regular business hours as well as during the winter break and statutory holidays. The same applies to building 255, International.
Library hours can be viewed on the library's website and at all entrances.
This change will enhance security for the library and for library users and is one component of the Federated Identity Management initiative, which will lead to a greatly simplified user experience for students accessing VIU services, resources and spaces.
