What is sustainable development?
Sustainable development “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
World Commission on Environment and Development
(Brundtland Commission), 1987
How will we achieve our goals?
Through:
- Sharing information about sustainability issues
- Interactive campaigns
- Working with individuals
- Celebrating the efforts and contributions toward sustainable development by the VIU community
By demonstrating and developing sustainability best practices and helping coordinate all the great ways individuals contribute to sustainability every day, significant, positive change will happen!
