3. Know Your Responsibilities and Your Rights

You are responsible for

  • Refraining from any actions that could reasonably be construed as retaliatory, against anyone involved with a Report. That includes communication in person, by email, social media, or other forms of communication, electronic or otherwise. It also includes actions carried out by other individuals at your request
  • Refraining from contact with the person who reported
  • Participating in any investigation or other measures related to a Report

You have the right to

  • Be treated with dignity and respect
  • Be informed about campus and community services and resources
  • Decide whether or not to access services, and to choose the services that you feel would be most beneficial
  • Receive clear and transparent information throughout the process
  • Be accompanied by a support person throughout the process
