Status Update - Implementation has Begun!

Work has officially begun on the implementation of the Finance, HR, and Payroll systems. Starting September 11th, members of the Unit4 team have been on campus to conduct “Alignment Workshops” with both VIU and Selkirk College. During these workshops, project team members are learning more about the software and Unit4 is exploring how the systems will be configured to meet our needs.

The kick-off for the student system implementation is tentatively scheduled for mid-January 2018.

Want to get involved?

Project AURORA is launching an initiative to engage participation from across the campus community. This initiative will involve the creation of cross-functional Special Assignment Teams, which will be given assignments with deliverables to be used as input for the project.

Sample Assignment Topic

Student Portal: Discuss and document the elements of a new student portal that are:

(a) critical, and (b) desirable.

An open invitation will be sent to all employees and students. Watch for more information coming very soon, including details about how to sign up.
