First aid services on the Nanaimo and Cowichan campuses are provided by patrolling campus security guards.
First aid services for all other VIU campuses and worksites are provided by VIU employees that have occupational first aid training.
VIU First aid records are submitted by the first aid attendant electronically using the online first aid record.

- Dial local 6600 from any internal phone or Dial 1.250.740.6600 from your cell phone. Mobile first aid services are available 24 hours a day.
- Campus Security First Aid Attendants are equipped with AED's and Naloxone kits.
Drop in First Aid is available on the Nanaimo campus for minor injuries during business hours. This service is available at the Security Office (Building 315).
